On Friday, November 19, 2021, Lone Oak held their first Extra Give event!
The Extra Give has ended and like many of you, we continue to talk about the overwhelming generosity of our community.
Approximately 6 months ago, we were incorporated as a not-for-profit, community-benefit organization. It was suggested that we should wait until next year’s Extra Give, so that we’d have a
bit more time to make connections and promote. We decided to go for it, humbly, with a goal of learning the process and raising $1000.
Lancaster, you are amazing! Because of you, we raised close to $6000 and the event itself was an incredible night!
Zoetropolis continued its tradition of supporting the community by hosting Lone Oak and providing everything we needed. Clients created beautiful art and then showed up to support Lone Oak. We met teachers, counselors, families, service providers, business owners, artists, young adults…so many amazing people who provided constant reminders of why we at Lone Oak do this work. Our hearts are so full.
